DTEL became Gastonia’s first and largest telecom equipment dealer in 1984 thanks to our founders, Bill Dover and A. J. Turnipseed, both Southern Bell retirees with over 30 years’ experience at the time.
In 1990 DTEL became a Comdial Associate Dealer, a Preferred Dealer in 1993, and then was promoted to a Preferred Gold Dealer in 1997. In 2002, DTEL was named a Vodavi Infinite dealer, and subsequently an Allworx dealer in 2005. Our company achieved the Allworx Apex Partner distinction in 2011 and later Platinum status 2013. By 2016, DTEL became an NEC Solutions Provider and a registered ISP, providing SIP and hosted voice solutions.
DTEL’s Field Engineers are certified with Allworx and NEC for installation and support services and have extensive experience in structured cabling; fiber builds; installation and support of camera systems; and overhead paging and deployment of cloud services for voice and managed networks. Our administration and sales team members hope to gain and sustain customer relationships with a consultative approach and best-in-class support.
